This month we will be working on questioning and making predictions in language arts and guided reading. As your child reads at home, you can help us with these strategies by asking your child questions about the characters, setting, problem or mystery elements in their story and what they think will happen next! Fall OAA Test On Tuesday, October 2, 2012 our third graders will be taking the OAA Reading test. It is a state required test for all third grade students. The test will be administered beginning promptly at 8:30 AM on the day of the test. No homework will be given Monday or Tuesday evening. | September Book Projects In September we focused on realistic fiction and character traits. The students then spent time creating, designing, and imagining ways to present their books to the class. Everyone did a great job. I am already looking forward to our Mystery Projects at the end of October. |
