We spent time in the Tinker Lab this week experimenting with solids, liquids, and gases. Check out the bulletin board in front of the Spanish room, it shows how molecules are tightly packed for solids, spread out for liquids, and way far apart for gases. We did a movement activity in the classroom during movement time so the children could move their bodies become the molecules! Sid the Science Kid showed us how food turns from a solid to a liquid in our stomach and then we compared and contrasted non-fiction text to support our findings. Whew, it was a busy and exciting full week in third grade!
